Dr. Kimberly Turner is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and a Seniors Real Estate Specialist, who is uniquely positioned to help seniors and their families to overcome real estate and retirement income challenges. She offers comprehensive senior real estate transition planning and retirement planning strategies.
She is passionate about transforming the lives of seniors. She desires to empower seniors to live an enjoyable life with their families, that incorporates financial freedom and financial security!
She is currently a broker sales associate with One Sotheby’s International Realty. She began serving the real estate needs of seniors in 1995. After the great recession, Dr. Turner transitioned into the capital markets and risk management sectors in 2009 to help clients build more diverse wealth portfolios.
Prior to becoming a Senior Real Estate Specialist, her interest in healthcare and affordable medicine led her to pursue studies in Health and Science at the University of Florida. After completing he studies to become a physician assistant, she practiced in the field of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
She is the founder and President of Retirement Planning Doctors. She obtained a dual Ph.D. in Financial Planning and Retirement Planning from the American College in 2019. She serves as an adjunct professor at California Lutheran University and The American College of Financial Services. she teaches graduate level courses in financial planning, investment planning, insurance/ risk management, and retirement income planning.
She holds numerous licenses and registrations in the areas of real estate, mortgages, investments, and insurance. Dr. Turner has also earned many financial industry renowned designations, Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®) Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®), Certified Long-term Care (CLTC®), and Wealth Management Certified Professional (WMCP®). In addition, she has earned many real estate certifications, including Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB®), Certified Real Estate Specialist (CRS®), Accredited Buyer’s Representative Manager (ABRM®), Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®), Real Estate Investor (REI), and Cryptocurrency, Blockchain DeFi & NFTs Certification.
Her community involvement has included, the Women’s Guild Center, Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, the Affordable Housing Council, the Financial Planning Association, and Senior Resource Alliance Area Agency on Aging of Central Florida.
She has been married to Daryl Turner, MD since 1991. They reside in Florida and are the proud parents of three wonderful sons, two are physicians and one is a financial advisor.
She enjoys learning, teaching, interior decorating, tennis, walking, traveling, fine dining and hosting parties!
She brings a kind, caring, friendly style as well as a great fund of knowledge when serving the retirement and real estate transition needs of seniors and their families!
